The National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) had its first annual conference on Rehabilitation Technologies at the University of Nottingham this week.
Organised and run by the Rehabilitation Technologies Network this two-day event saw up to 180 people from across Europe come together to share ideas, network and collaborate over new technologies to help patients on their rehabilitation journey. The conference was opened by NRC director Miriam Duffy and closed by RehabHRC director Dan Clark, OBE.
Following this the RehabHRC held their launch event, also at the University of Nottingham, with 90 delegates in attendance. At the launch we presented how the RehabHRC is organised, our innovation pipeline and our life course approach. Key to the RehabHRC is our how we plan to include patients and public. Our PPIE manager Liz Tibbett and the head of patient and public involvement at Nottingham University Hospital, Kate Frost presented together a panel of experts by experience for Q&A which was met with great success. A first of many events for the RehabHRC keep an eye on our events page for news of more!
